The British Home Cleaner: Henry Hoover Vacuum Review

If you are living in UK or nearby areas, you will be well aware about the old and popular Henry Hoover classic vacuum cleaners which turn 36 this year. Yes, it has been more than 35 years as the Henry vacuum cleaner came into picture in early 1980s. Since then there have been a lot of similar products emerging in the market, however, henry Hoover vacuum clear still holds its position in British households.

For those who do not know about this small cute vacuum cleaner. The iconic smiling face has been cleaning the offices and homes and still retains in position in people’s hearts. And now when we have another iteration of the product between us, and here we are going to review the new Henry HVR200-11 and look into the performance and other upgrades that have been made by the company to the previous version.

Henry Hoover: Design

The very first thing that you are going to notice about this cute vacuum cleaner is that is really huge. In addition to that, there is a 2.3, long wire, which is flexible enough to reach any corner and all the other awkward places. If you think that the length is too less, there is more 26.8-meter cable coiled inside.

Winding up the cable after the cleaning is done might be a tough job, but once you switch it in, you won’t have to relocate the plug during the entire cleaning process. Also, there is nothing to worry about the capacity as well. The nine-litre capacity should be enough to collect all the dust and garbage in one go.

Emptying the bin is an easy task as well. The simple design allows you to clean it simply by unclipping the top and taking out the “TriTex” filter and then replace the dust bag with a new one. If you think how you are going to get a replacement bag, they are pretty cheap and easily available online as well as in the market. If you are looking for some extra capacity, the big dust bags which cover the filter and motor, are also available. However, such big bag is difficult to clean and that is why we would advice you to use the dust bag provided with the retail model.

Henry Hoover: Performance

Talking about the cleaning, it is definitely not the best. It is good for regular cleaning but fails to pick up tough dust and from tricky places. The suction is also not the best in class and you might have to force it multiple times to get the stains off. o, you can use it for regular cleaning but a lot more effort is required to get rid off deeply rooted dirt and dust.

The vacuum cleaner is not loud and produces a maximum of 72db noise. You can easily compare it with Dyson V6 Absolute vacuum cleaner. It does not consume much power and operates on 620W, playing the role of a cost efficient vacuum cleaner as well.

Henry Hoover Parts

There are some additional tools that you get along with the Hoover Vacuum cleaner which include a crevice tool, brush and steel tubes of different sizes to reach high corners and ceilings.

The Verdict

All in all, Henry is a cute little average vacuum cleaner that can easily fulfill you regular simple cleaning requirements but can’t be compared with big names like Dyson and Roomba. Also, Henry Hoover Vacuum cleaner is way cheaper than many other vacuum cleaners available online. It is a perfect combination of budget cleaning and regular performance, whcih is also a staple of all the British households.
